Chris Andritsos leads The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity to 6-1 victory

Chris Andritsos came up big at the dish and on the bump, leading The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity to a 6-1 win over Austin Bowie on Friday at Mumford, TX.

Chris racked up four RBIs on two hits for The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity got the win thanks in large part to Chris' dominant, 12-strikeout performance. Chris allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Kyle Gray couldn't get it done on the rubber for Austin Bowie, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed five runs.

The lone run of the game for Austin Bowie crossed the plate in the first inning on a solo home run by Joe Davis.

The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a two-run home run by Chris.

The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. A sacrifice fly scored Casey Schneider to get The Woodlands Highlanders Varsity on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Chris' double, plating Vince Secrest and Ben Gooch.
