Blue Jays beat Astros 11-6
The Blue Jays got off to a strong start, scoring three runs in the first inning, all from base on balls. Jacob, Zak, and Caleb all came across the plate on wild pitches. Aiden was the starting pitcher for the Blue Jays. He struggled a little in the first inning, giving up five runs on a hit, an error, and three walks. The Blue Jays offense was consistent as they managed to scratch at least two runs in every inning, scoring two in the second to tie up the game. Derrick walked and scored on a groundout by Ja'den, then Manuel singled and scored on a double from Jake. Aiden found it the second inning on the mound, allowing no runs on no hits, keeping the game tied at five. The Blue Jays then proceeded to take the lead in the third inning, scoring four runs, capped off by a home run from Aiden. They would never lose that lead, as Aiden gave up only 1 run on 1 hit and a wild pitch in the third. Overall, Aiden pitched three innings, giving up 6 runs with only 4 earned on 2 hits, 3 walks, an error, and struck out five. The Bule Jays tacked on two more runs in the fourth to make the score 11-6, then Jake came in and closed the game out, striking out all three batters he faced on a total of ten pitches. Jake, Aiden, Caleb, and Manuel all got hits for the Blue Jays, and Jacob, Zak, and Alex all walked multiple times. Jacob, Zak, Aiden, and Caleb all scored twice in the opening day victory over the Astros!
