Change from GC classic to GC
Happy holidays team! Hope everyone is enjoying the time off school and getting ready for the holidays. It appears that GC classic, the current app we are using will no longer support messaging. Therefore, we have decided to switch to Game Changer (green app- formerly known as Team Manager now named Game Changer-with a banner that says new). All our games, practices and past game information has been transferred to the new app and we will no longer be communicating through this app. Our team name on the new app is Northville Broncos 10U.

Service project
Hi Broncos’ Families,
As Jon mentioned during our first meeting, we want the girls to become great softball players but also become friends and people who care about our community!
Therefore, we have a fun service project planned for the girls. We are adopting 5 stockings for kids supported by Northville Civic Concern. Northville Concern is a local association that assists families in the Northville and Northville Township area. For the holiday season they provide stockings for kids in the Northville area allowing them to have something to look forward to Christmas morning.
We have signed up for 5 stockings for girls aged 10 and 11. The plan is for each family to purchase 5 items that we can put into the stockings. Some ideas include: nail polish, pens, fidgets, chapsticks, anything that is small enough that can fit inside a gallon zip lock bag. Remember, these are stockings so no large items.
To make this a fun social event, we want the girls to get together to decorate the stockings and fill them. Liza and I are working on a location and date and will update everyone as soon as possible. But we are looking at meeting before Thanksgiving.

Q: What should we stuff stockings with?
A: Sign up for an age(s)/gender(s) that you are familiar with so shopping is easier. Bring your kids shopping. If your kid likes an item another kid probably will too. Feel free to also include candy canes and holiday treats and/or personal care items in addition to toys/trinkets. Some ideas for toys include, Rubik’s cube, slinky, yo-yo, word searches and other small activity books, small LEGO sets, light-up keychains, crayons, and play-doh.
Q: How much should we spend per stocking?
A: Feel free to spend an amount you are comfortable with – there is no upper or lower limit.
Q: How should we decorate the stockings?
A: The goal is to add a personal touch to the stockings. Feel free to do whatever inspires you. Puffy paint, stitching, hot glue embellishments - the sky is the limit!
Q: Can we include food in the stockings?
A: Northville Civic Concern typically avoids including food items with holiday gifts, with candy canes and holiday treats being the exception.

Trunk o' Treat
Happy almost October Broncos!
The Social Committee is planning a trunk o' treat as a fun Halloween event for the girls. The girls can share their Halloween costumes with their team mates and load up on candy. Everyone needs more candy, as long as they brush and floss after eating it.
Currently we are looking at two possible dates: October 24 after practice or October 30th. More details will follow once we lock down a date.
Wanted to give parents plenty of time to go shopping for candy. Or for the very talented and artistic parents time to plan and decorate their cars.
This will be an all family event! Bring older or younger siblings.

Game Jerseys
Game jerseys for the Round Robin on Saturday will be passed out prior to the start of the game. The jerseys are sleeve-less if your player will like to wear a long sleeve shirt under the jersey it must be BLACK.
The rules for the games have been added to the schedule. 5 run limit and runners must be batted in from 3rd base.

DO Uniform Fittings
Hi,
I am sure you are tired of hearing from me about uniforms! I hope this will be the last email.
When you get to DO for the fittings please make sure that your daughter tries on the following for the correct size: Game Jersey, Practice jersey, Sweatshirt and pants. Just as an FYI Catie was different sizes in each item!
The process of ordering uniforms will be the following: once everyone gets sized I will place our uniform order together. Everyone will be ordering the following:
1-Orange Sleveless jersey
1-White Sleveless jersey
1-Orange with black sleeves sweatshirt
1-Orange practice jersey
1-Crusher knicker black pants
1-belt
1- pair of orange socks
If you will like to have extra pants or an extra practice jersey you will order it online through DO; they will have a QR code at store. Or if you want to order a matching sweatshirt! Please remember we will also be ordering 2 fancy socks from a different supplier. (For returning parents we will keep the stars and white/orange pair)
For the pants, the Crusher Knicker style pant will be our matching team pants that we will wear for games. For practices the girls can wear a pair of cheaper black pants that you can order on Amazon.

DO Online Store for Spirit wear
DO has set up their online store for spirt wear. The link is : https://mydoapparel.tuosystems.com/stores/northvillebroncos
I will also send it out through the group chat, I know in the past there has been issues with the links that are shared on the announcement page.
Items ordered from the Spirit wear store will be paid and sent directly to each family. Orders and payments must be in by Monday, August 30th. Please remember after 8/30 the store will close and you will not be able to order desired items!
Uniform Fittings
Hi Broncos' Families. First of all welcome to the team Alice, Audrey, Dylan & Jovie!
As Jon mentioned in the welcome email we have changed our uniform supplier which means that everyone in the team will need to get new uniforms. DO Apparel will be our new uniform supplier, they are a local company and make all their uniforms in house. They will have a website up and running very soon for our team and each family will be able to place an order for items that you will need. At a minimum you will need to order: a sweatshirt, 2 different colored game jerseys, a practice jersey and pants. If your daughter is new to the team or if someone needs replacements you will also need to order an orange belt and orange socks. We will also be ordering "fun" socks from a different supplier so you only need one pair of solid orange socks.
DO will also set up a Fan page for a parents that want to order spirit wear.
DO has set up two days for uniform sizing. They are on Wednesday, August 18th from 5-7pm and on Monday, August 23rd from 5-7pm. Please try and attend one of those days. If you are unable to go during the designated times please let me know as soon as possible and I can try to arrange something. The address is 15356 Middlebelt Road, Livonia MI 48154. Both dates have been added to the practice schedule.
DO will keep a track of uniform sizes for each player; however, it will be a good idea for each parent to write it down in case documents are lost. Please remember that uniforms need to fit the girls until JULY 2022! So if your daughter is between sizes, consider ordering the size up.
