Thursday's game has been cancelled and will be played at a later date.
Saturday's Game will now be played at Hooker Field at 12pm.
Carolina Disco Turkeys Loses Lead Early In Defeat
Carolina Disco Turkeys watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 8-2 loss to Martinsville Ponies on Saturday. Martinsville Ponies scored on a groundout by Hunter Hutchens in the first inning, a double by Justin Brady in the second inning, and a single by Hutchens in the second inning.
The Carolina Disco Turkeys struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Martinsville Ponies, giving up nine runs.
Martinsville Ponies got on the board in the first inning. Hutchens grounded out, scoring one run.
Martinsville Ponies scored three runs in the seventh inning. Martinsville Ponies offense in the inning was led by Brady and Josh Jones, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Matt Rivers got the start for Martinsville Ponies. The righty allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out three and walking one.
Nick Mackedon started the game for Carolina Disco Turkeys. Mackedon lasted four and a third innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out four. #22 threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Dino Tharp led Carolina Disco Turkeys with two hits in four at bats.
Martinsville Ponies racked up 14 hits. Jones, Brady, Grayson Chitwood, and Hutchens all managed multiple hits for Martinsville Ponies.
