This noticeable decline in exit velocity is a concerning mark for a bat with a heavy barrel, which should be able to generate more speed off the barrel.

However the top distance ranked 6th of all bats tested- in the top 50%- and shows what this bat is capable of when pure contact is achieved.

The 44 Pro WORX Hybrid 2026 average bat speed was 73.5 mph, with a top speed of 87.7 mph. It decreased by  -0.6 mph, or -0.9%, compared to the baseline. The heavy design is the likely reason for this decrease in bat speed, as players were struggling to get the bat through the zone.

Time to contact averaged 0.142 seconds, with a best mark of 0.120 seconds. The bat finished -0.001 seconds, or -0.4%, relative to baseline. The slight improvement to time to contact shows that despite the heavy weight, the hitters were able to adjust their swing quickly to cover the whole strike zone and hit well to all parts of the field.
