The players had great reviews for the look and feel of the Icon 2027, saying it had a premium feel and a sweet colorway. The only negative review was on the sound, as the players did not feel the muted sound matched the actual power of the bat and threw off their perception a bit. But the overall aesthetics and weight were great, earning a 4.20/5

Sweet spot received a 4.50/5. Even with the criticism of the effort it took to swing with precision, the sweet spot was so forgiving that the players felt they still could get elite results on slightly off-centered contact.

The Rawlings Icon 2027 earned a 3.80/5 for balance. Players found the bat comfortable and manageable through the zone, saying they could maneuver the balance with ease, without it feeling too light.

The Icon received excellent reviews for pop. The players noticed the bat could launch the ball and repeatedly give them good drives off the barrel. They gave pop a 4.60/5

Control finished at 3.60/5. Although the barrel is not end-loaded, it is still large and requires direct effort for a precise swing.

The light weight composite barrel did not produce as much force as a heavier alloy barrel would, hitting the ball with a slightly decreased exit velocity.

While it may not seem like much, any boost in distance can mean the difference between a hit and an out, and it shows that the bat can still mash even without boosting exit velocity.
