Todd Fitz-Gerald is one of the most accomplished high school baseball coaches in the country, with 25 years of head coaching experience and a career record of 590-132-2, good for an 81.5% winning percentage. His teams have reached the state playoffs in every season of his head coaching career, and he has led his programs to eight Florida State Championships and six National Championships.
Fitz-Gerald is the head coach of the only team in Florida history to win six consecutive state championships, a run spanning 2021 through 2026. His 2023 team finished a perfect 29-0, becoming the first undefeated Florida high school baseball team since 1945. In 2022, his team also captured the National High School Invitational Championship at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
Over his career, Fitz-Gerald has coached more than 150 college baseball scholarship recipients, 43 MLB Draft selections, and eight eventual Major League Baseball players, including Eric Hosmer, Nick Castellanos, Jesus Luzardo, Coby Mayo, and Roman Anthony. His own sons, Hunter and Devin, have also been drafted into professional baseball by the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, respectively.
Fitz-Gerald has been inducted into four Halls of Fame, including the National High School Baseball Coaches Association, Broward High School Baseball Network, Florida Athletic Coaches Association, and Lincoln Memorial University. He has been named National High School Baseball Coach of the Year six times and has earned numerous state, regional, and local Coach of the Year honors throughout his career.
