Introducing GameChanger Film Room

GameChanger Basketball is expanding its comprehensive suite of live streaming and scorekeeping tools by bringing the power of film review to all coaches—free of charge—on both iOS and Android devices.

Film Room, GameChanger Basketball's latest video-centric feature, empowers coaches to uncover insights through full event video analysis, clip creation, and game moment annotation. Coaches can then share these insights with their staff, players, and teams, helping to elevate their team's basketball IQ.

For teams using iOS devices to film, GameChanger automatically skips any downtime—such as halftime, breaks between quarters, and timeouts—condensing the game to only the moments of active play. Reduce the time you spend cutting out breaks in the game and maximize your ability to focus on practice and game planning with Film Room.

Film Room is available as a free feature exclusively for coaches and staff.

How to Access Film Room

There are two ways to access Film Room from a team that you manage. 

1. Tap into the Video tab. Any full event videos available for annotation will appear at the top of this tab.
   OR
2. Tap into any specific event from the team schedule. Any event with archived video will have a gray video icon indicating there is footage.

How to Mark Moments

To create a Moment in your video, select the Mark Game Moment button. After selecting the moment you wish to annotate, select the duration of the event. Then, annotate the moment with feedback for your players and hit Save.

You can continue to mark moments for the event throughout the video. Note that a new moment cannot be created in the middle of an existing moment. However, you can mark a new moment just past the end of an existing moment and adjust the duration to overlap with a portion of the older moment. 

When you are finished, you can review all of your created moments for the event through the All Moments tab. 

To delete a moment that you have created choose the three dots on the right side of the moment annotation either in the Film Editor or the All Moments tab.

How to Share Moments

Once you have created a moment, you can share it with your players or staff outside of the app.Use the three dots on the right side of any moment annotation either in the Film Editor or the All Moments tab to save the moment or share it through a messaging or email application. 

Note: When you share a moment the following information will be included on an opening title screen:

• The name of the person who created the moment.
• Any annotation on the moment.
• The event opponent (i.e. Tigers @ Netminders).
