HERE'S WHAT WE'RE DOING ABOUT IT
In partnership with the DICK'S Foundation and Center for Healing and Justice Through Sport, GameChanger is launching Most Valuable Coach (MVC), a campaign designed to strengthen youth sports by investing in the people who lead them.
Through MVC, we are expanding access to educational tools, coaching guidance, and practical tips for coaches and parents navigating today's youth sports landscape.
WHAT IS AN MVC
An MVC (Most Valuable Coach) knows it's not about stats or trophies. The real wins happen when a player finds confidence through encouragement, learns to trust teammates under pressure, and feels supported when things get hard. That kind of value doesn't live on a scoreboard, it shows up in life.
HOW TO BE AN MVC
To be an MVC, you'll need Healing-Centered Coaching. Backed by brain science, these techniques help players regulate their nervous system, build resilience on and off the field, and feel safe enough to grow. So, let's get into it.

TIPS YOU CAN
IMPLEMENT TODAY

Make players feel seen and connected, so they can be their authentic selves.

Use patterned, repetitive activities to help players manage their emotions.

Motivate players to push themselves with healthy, positive tactics.

The DICK'S Foundation champions youth sports, providing grants and support to under-resourced teams and athletes through the Sports Matter program.

CHJS works to leverage the power of sport to drive mental health and positive outcomes for young people. While often overlooked or misused, we believe sport contains the most powerful and scalable tools for healing, belonging, and opportunity. Nothing heals like sport.
