Q: Where did your journey as a youth baseball and youth softball coach begin?
A: “[I] got into coaching in college, as a summer job. [I] got out of it once I got into the working world and picked it back up when my now 14-year-old was [at the] 8u level. I really started as the GameChanger scorekeeper for the team [...] and then for the last five years or so I’ve been coaching my now 11u team with my younger daughter.”
Q: What is your favorite GameChanger feature?
A: “All of the RSVPs are really [great] and it helps me know which girls are coming to practice and which ones aren’t without having to get a bunch of emails.”

A: “The live streaming’s been a really nice new feature over the last few years, so we live stream all the games. All of the highlight reel stuff has been good too; I’ll quickly go back and pick out four-five of those [highlight clips] and show them to the girls at practice. It’s fun for the girls to have some of their highlights. The video has been a really nice feature and how it’s auto-clipped.”

Q: What GameChanger feature can you not live without?
A: “Having the pitch counts is super helpful for me. I go back and use that quite a bit. I really like that you can filter certain game stats as opposed to having to look at everything.”

Q: What impact has GameChanger had on your youth baseball and softball teams?
A: “I use all of the data. I use it a lot on balls and strikes percentages. It helps me even when I’m talking to the parents, from a development standpoint[...] it gives some data to back up lineup decisions.”
Q: Why should youth baseball and youth softball coaches adopt GameChanger?
A: “It’s super simple getting the stats afterwards, versus having to do it by hand. It’s easy to see the whole ‘scorebook.’ The real-time feedback makes [coaching] faster and more efficient.”
