What’s New in GameChanger Team Chat

Team Chat is a big part of how your season stays connected. From practice updates and snack schedules to lineup changes and postgame celebrations, Team Chat helps keep coaches, families, and players in the loop. 

Like any shared space, it works best when everyone has the right tools to manage their experience. Occasionally a message lands wrong, or something comes through that doesn’t belong in a team setting. The GameChanger App’s new messaging controls are there for those moments.

Muting Users in GameChanger Team Chat

If someone’s messages are making it harder to stay focused on the team, you can mute them. When you mute someone in GameChanger, their messages and replies are hidden across your Team Chat channels, and you stop receiving notifications from them. The muted user won’t receive a direct notification that they’ve been muted, and they will still see their messages appear as sent.
Also, muting users is done on an individual account basis, so if you mute a user in the Team Chat, it does not mute that user for everyone else.  You can unmute users at any time.

Deleting Messages in GameChanger Team Chat

If a message doesn’t belong in a team setting or distracts from the purpose of the chat, coaches and staff can delete it from Team Chat. When a message is removed, a notice appears in its place so the team knows it was deleted by staff — keeping conversations focused, appropriate, and useful for everyone.
