Updated Scoring and Live Streaming Permissions

You asked and we listened! Scoring and streaming permissions have changed. Now, team staff will be able to designate team community members as scorekeepers to score and videographers to stream and upload game video — no staff role required. 

With this update, coaches can designate a trusted team community member with scoring or streaming duties — freeing up time to focus on game day. For streaming teams, this reduces accidental streams by choosing a trusted videographer to capture your game.

For baseball and softball team staff, this means you no longer have to use one of your four staff spots for someone to keep score, and helps take one less thing off your to-do list by designating someone as a scorekeeper.  

You’ll see within your Team tab an option to update Team Permissions to designate scorekeepers and videographers.

This update will not affect the default permissions. The baseball and softball default scoring permissions are set to staff, and the default videography permissions are set to confirmed members. For all other sports, the default for scoring and videography permissions are set to confirmed members.
