Like the Icon, The Chosen One swings fast and hard, boosting marginal hard hit rate (4.6%) and bat speed (2.9%), but this design strays from its two-piece counterpart, sacrificing some of its versatility for pure speed and control.

Comparisons

The Rawlings Icon The Chosen One 2026 can be most closely compared to the Louisville Slugger Atlas 2026. Both of these are versatile gap/contact bats with great overall scores. The Atlas has slightly better power numbers, especially in barreled rate, but the Chosen One is more contact focused with a better bat speed.

The closest rated end-loaded bat is the DeMarini The Goods 2026. The contact focused The Chosen One does not provide as much distance as an end-loaded bat, but it is clearly a superior bat when it comes to swing speed and control.

Both of these comparisons highlight the difference between contact, gap, and power bats. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but when it comes to contact and line drive approaches to the plate, The Chosen One is one of the best bats available.
