Sea dogs Augusta LL night
let’s go as a team Brownies !!
Friday, August 5, 2022 will be Augusta Little League night at the Portland Sea Dogs. Game time is 6 p.m. against the Erie SeaWolves, AA-affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
As part of our celebration, Augusta Little League will be invited to go onto the field and take a group picture in front of the "Maine Monster." This will happen before the game at 5 p.m. Additionally, there will be fireworks at the end of the game.
We are able to provide two ticket options for the game:
General Admission - $7/per ticket
Reserved Seats - $9/per ticket
General Admission is open-style seating in the 300 level, so regardless of the seat number you purchase, you will be able to sit next to friends and family in that section. Reserved seats are assigned locations, so please make sure you coordinate if you want to sit next to people to make sure you have adjacent seats.
This group rate will not be available the day of the game so please purchase through this link in advance of the game.

Can we get a message to ALL Coaches and Parents that this Saturday June 18th attendees for Little League will need to use the Hospital Street Entrance to the CARA Complex. Babe Ruth is hosting the Class A High School Baseball Championship which MPA requires a gate fee be charged to all entrants which we collect as they enter the CARA Complex. To keep traffic moving it would be helpful if we didn’t have ALL attendees trying to pass through. We are directing the Tournament Attendees to use the Cony Road Entrance. Thanx for your help with getting this message out.

Majors/Minors Playoffs
The Majors and Minors teams will compete in the season playoffs next week. Games will be Monday through Thursday, with the championship on Saturday (June 25). We will send a playoff schedule once it is finalized.
Home Run Derby
Next Friday (June 24) will be the Home Run Derby. Again, expect an email with more details on how to register.
Augusta Baseball Academy
The season is winding down, but we are excited to coordinate with Cony Baseball Manager, Don Plourde, for his weeklong Augusta Baseball Academy program. This will be held Mon. June 20 through Thu. June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at the ball field. Players ages 7-13 can participate. You must register. The cost is $90. More information and the registration form can be found here.

Concessions needs help this week !
We don’t play til Thursday but as of now - Augusta LL concessions will be closed tonight tomorrow night and our game thursday .
SATURDAY - also nobody signed up !
appreciate it if Brownies families step up . If you haven’t volunteered this season - you need to ! that’s the only way this works : just paying your entry fees isn’t enough .
I am on the board and if you take all the costs this league has including uniforms baseballs umpires new scoreboards new mower … it computes to a cost per player of $250… total costs are over $60,000! Concessions make $12-15k/year when staffed . we need that & only paying $100 per player and then not signing up to do any concessions puts the league in the red .
please sign up … I would be surprised if any of you say that you have had a bad experience with your son playing in the Augusta Little League..

Home Run Derby - Friday, June 24, 2022. This competition will give our local sluggers an opportunity to swing for the fences and win prizes. It is available for players league age 9-12. All participants will be required to sign a form in advance.
